Hi Forum,

I am going to Land in canada in June 2011 to get my Landing stamp. I will come back to Germany in a week as it will take some time for me to completely move to Canada.
Meanwhile, I would like to apply for the PR card.
Can I give my friends address in Canada for mailing my PR card? Is it allowed?

Do I need to have my own place (rented or own) to get a PR card?

You will be asked for your residence address in Canada while you land at the airport, there you can say you will be living at this place (your friend's address).
It will be mailed to this address in couple of months.
You don't need to own or rent a place to get PR card.
