I am basically looking for an unlimited or 200G limit kind of plan, which will allow me Netflix...
Can any one provide update if the vonage or freephoneline consumes data usage?
Thanks
It is difficult to get data usage info as it depends upon which codec is being used , how long call lasts etc etc. you have to worry only if you are going to use your home phone as call center otherwise usage is not much.

I have another question.
I am thinking about subscribing to Vonage and get away from my existing landline connection. However, I have a home alarm and heard(mostly from internet forums) that the alarms are not compatible with the VOIP phones. Is it true? Is anyone here using home alarm with voip phone? If not and I have to take a basic landline just for the alarm then the whole purpose of voip phone in terms of pricing/cost dies for the people who have home alarm installed in their houses.
Anyone?

I have a same problem.I switched to vonage last year.I called ADT and they said vonage is not compatable. One option is to go for wireless monitoring.(Instead of home phone they will use ur cell phone). But its about $10 extra per month. So, for now, I have a rogers basic phone line for ADT purpose.
If someone has an alternate to this, would be great!
