Change of Name before Spousal Application?

Hi All,

we just got married. My wife is in India.

1) Is it best to change the name prior the spouse visa application with CIC or

2) change the name (passport, driving license in India) while the application is already launched with CIC

3) do the name change after wife is in Canada?

What are the pro's and cons. Does the file get delayed if I do option 2 ??

Changing name leads to more and more documentation requirements for everything..

it is a old concept and i dont think it is a good idea to change names.
