There is no legal problem in doing what you are suggesting.
However, once you get PR, you will have to maintain it as per the requirements.
Unless you are working for a Canadian company and can count your time in the US towards your PR status, you will find it difficult to do both.

If I get CA PR, then how long can I stay in US on H1 in one strech without losing CA PR?

cic.gc.ca for all the basics of cdn PR (getting it and maintaining it).

If I work for US employer not the CND employer then what?
And is it legal?
