Good move by the Canadian Govt.. This will be a lesson especially for a section of immigrants who bring their parents to Canada and without that parents doing anything to improve Canada, start taking OAS and cheating natives.
But I am very sad to note that this is coming into effect only from 2023 which is like 11 years away. I especially wanted the Canadian govt. to teach a lesson to the parents of immigrants who are looking for this free money from 2012.

I completely agree with this. I see parents sponsored and sitting around with their health cards. This is a good move, even though it is coming in rather late.
