BC Pros:
- Mild weather, but Wet like London. No sun for at least 4-5 months of an year. Snowfall is lower than anywhere in Canada.
- Summers are beautiful (you actually don't sweat), and there's plenty of outdoor activities to embark upon.
- Natural beauty in abundance so endless places to hang out and visit.
- World class ski resorts, e.g. Whistler
- Very close to the US border for inexpensive cross border shopping
- Lower car insurance rates than GTA
- Smaller than GTA, Greater Vancouver is easy in reach and the Metro (known as Skytrain) reaches all the way to suburbs unlink Toronto transit.
- Close to Washington state, which is equally beautiful.
- As you see, the mere pros are to its natural beauty.

BC Cons:
-No real industry, so jobs are not plentyful.
-Real and good paying jobs are in IT, Video Games, Film and Television industry, and Mining only. Lack of any real industry is dampening its dream of retaining it's place on the 'Best place to live' index.
-Unaffordable Real Estate. The minimum for a decent detached house in a decent suburban neighborhood is $550,000. There are no semi-detached houses.
- If living in a suburb across the Fraser River (Delta, Surrey, Langley), then one has to cross the bridges that eat a major chunk of morning and evening commute. Clogged like hell.
- Downtown is dead after 9pm.
- Connectivity to Asia is bad. Not a good choice of Airlines and it takes longer.
- Quite far from Europe: If it matters to you.
- BC - Bring Cash ;)

Toronto Pros:
- Companies' headquater hub, hence more jobs than anywhere else in Canada.
- Better infrastructure - highways (but clogged)
- Large number of suburbs so have more choices to buy a house. But remember, farther you go the more trouble you'll face on the highways and to reach office/home.
- Better transit system, e.g. Go Transit
- Happening downtown that stays awake, if you like to party or hangout in clubs, et. all.
- Better connectivity to India due to having a large number of Airlines operate therefrom.
- Closer to London/Europe.

Toronto Cons:
- Extreme smog, winters (with snow and windchill), and summers.
- Although a better grid of highways but heavily clogged during the rush hours.
- Extremely populated, and hence taking a toll on infrastructure.
- US border is quite afar for cross border shopping (if this matters to you. It does, to me).
- Higher auto insurance rates than anywhere in Canada.

You decide...

Hey ..Hazzybuzz:

welcome to Canada ... a place of immigrants that are building new world.

You will be fine here and your kids too .... but only make sure how soon your husband can get licence to practice.

CANADA is the only place where any skin color can exactly fit in .... and can claim as Canadian. If you carry passports of British, Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada .... it is the only Canadian Passport that gives you the feeling of belonging not only for you but for out side world too. Of course all are second to Indian passport when it comes to feeling.
