We became Canadian citizens in 2011. Our marriage celebrated in a church, 2001 in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Recently I applied OCI for my wife with a church issued marriage certificate & got refused by cgi Toronto asking me to submitt govt. issued (registered) certificate. I checked aponline for the procedure but could not find any for overseas citizens to obtain it.
Can anybody know or experienced similar problem, please advice on how to obtain registered marriage certificate.

I think a duly notarized affidavit should work. Ask CGI about it.
