Hi I am comming Toronto on 5th July along with my family. I have 3 kids under age below 12. I hered that, as soon as we landed we willl be illigible to get 300 CAD per child per month is it true, and what is the actual proceedure.

you will be eligible for a max of 228 CAD per child, depending on your previous previous years earnings. YOu will have to apply in CCRA in person (for the process to be faster) or you can apply thru mail. By you I mean your wife has to apply and she will get the money. She needs a bank account and / or a telephone line bill on her name to apply.

Faizal,
The previous years income means what one earned in the previous job from where he/she lands. Just thought of it, if a person who had worked in Germany before happens to land with a person who has worked in Bangladesh before, obviously whatever the benefit that they would be getting is going to be disproportionate. Are there any other determining factors besides previous year income.

Hey,
I thought that this site was moderated by people. Iam quite new to ths site and was under the impression that this forum helps in information sharing.
Well on a lighter vein, Lalooji, Bihar ki to Barah Baaja di, Aaj kal Railways ki bajaa rahe hain. Tone down the language bro, I too am a Bihari and feel awkward when I see inappropriate language being used in such forums.
