We have a new baby and want to know list of all child benefits available in Canada

I am aware of Canada Child tax benefit and Universal child care benefit

I have even heard of daycare subsidy and some other benefits

Biggest benefit is the childhood you can cherish .

Go to the CRA website, and they should all be listed in there.

Very good question.
The key is to make your salary as low as possible for max. benefits.

As far as I can remember :
1. CCTB (Child tax benefit)
2. Universal life
3. RESP
4. Free diapers and Milk from the food bank (Limited quantity only)
5. Free baby food from the food bank (limited quantity only)
6. Free breast feeding clinics.
7. Free nurse visits for period upto 1 year
8. Ontario credits are there. As Febpreeth suggested, visit CRA website.
9. To suppliement your income as well as getting a sibling for you child, you can adopt a foster child. You will get additional benefits for taking care of the foster child and as well you can claim extra benefits for the foster child like CCTB/ HST credits / Universal life.

I can understand about getting a foster child as a sibling for your child, but that too under certain circumstances (which off course is another discussion, lets not hijack this thread), but supplementing your income

Like seriously.....

I find the reply very much in line with the personality that is well known . Anything different would have been expecting an unexpected .

Does anyone know if there's a time period from the birth of a child that one can apply for the CCTB /UTB retrospectively from birth ?

1 years , 2 years , 5 years ?
