Hi Chandresh,
A CV will only get you as far as the interview...........
Suitability factor is the one that decides whether you get that job or not.....Obviously you cant change your skin color.......
English accent, appearance, age, approach, confidence, frequency match with the environment etc will decide your destiny...NOT qualification and experience as many Immigrants think.
Three years is good enough to analyze whether you will be successful in Canada or not........
There might nothing wrong with you as well as Canada......only thing is that may be ...you are not destined to be successful there.......
No hard feelings please......

Advice is free – lessons I charge for!!
Dear Chandreshji,
Generally I do not interefere in such posts, I mean related to one's personal matters. But I have been following all such posts quite regularly. As you know it may take some time for me to decide the final bottom line for me (and thats why I avoid to contribute although I wish to), i.e. "I AM NOT COMING TO CANADA", or "I MAY COME TO CANADA" or finally "I AM COMING TO CANADA", but in your case after reading your last post, I can firmly say that you are gonna make it.
You have a great power with you, i.e. the POSITIVE ATTITUDE. It simply is not a word by its meaning, but to possess that you need a great resilience in other words TENACITY (Objection handling).
Zindagi main mile ya nahi..but do remember me..You are gonna be successfull in canada.
Regards,
VJ

Advice is free – lessons I charge for!!
Chandreshji,
I was also under the impression that I just need an interview call.......then I will convince the employer about my capability.......initially it did not work...later it did.
I can give u a few tips.......if you get an interview call.. thank me......at least I'll be happy that I contributed a little for the betterment of CD members.......
Revamp your CV
Hide what is not required, highlight only + points
First - mention a para about your key capabilities - line by line
Remove all words in your CV that shows your Indian origin
Modify your name to suit Canadian syllable...NOT A JOKE 100% reality
For eg. Chalres / Chapman / Chadwick..
During/after interview, if selected, you can tell them that was your maiden name
Work experience - Remove country from that..show only exp.
Mention US/European companies that u worked for in Singapore
Highlight your connection with US/Canadian clients
Highlight in BOLD that you are in the process of getting CPA or equiv.
CV should be specific for the job - not more than 3 pages
Dont mention religion / race / mother tongue etc.
If the above are done and you confidently approach them, you are through.
Please note that if CV is given to placement agencies, the HR Lady will call you to check and fix interview etc. during that 60 sec conversation if you fumble, you will not get interview call.
If CV is directly sent to Companies, the dept. head scans the CV and asks the assistant to call 3 or 4 candidates.....here you will be successful..........as there are no low level HR ladies to scrutinize and reject you for your English accent etc.
Again I told you ...my tips are only to get an interview call..........
Do well man............Best of luck.......
Keep me updated........

Hi Chandresh,
First i would like to congratulate on your new house.
Secondly I am sure you will get a job in your field with all the hard work that you are putting in.
I have another suggestion though. You have excellent communication skills and a very analytical mind( this is very evident thro your posts)
These are all the makings of a good teacher! I am sure you like to simplify , convince ,update yourself and others , analyse and also verbally communicate. The only thing that remains is that you reinvent yourself or give a new direction to your skills and knowledge.
You see the possibility of becomming a Teacher / Professor at a University of Financial Management or Accounts . The vast experience that you have can be best utilised in education field. A lecturer at a university level does not need certification but i do not know if you require a doctorate.( is it possible in finance?)
Iam giving you the above suggestion because i have done a similar thing here in India ( which is much more conservative about employing candidates above the age of 35 as compared to canada)
Of course I would have loved to work in my own field of Product Management but circumstances( paucity of pharma companies in my region) made me seek alternative ideas of employment. I now realised that I make an excellent teacher too thus discovering my hidden skills and extending the scope of my job prospects .
All the best to you,
Regards,
jwagh
