I agree with Saryavu. I almost decided to pack my bags and head back to India (or Middle East) once my canadian citizenship is through.

I started doing CMA after coming to Canada. Took me almost three years to complete.

God bless all

Folks who dont like it... ought to get the heck out of dodge... So for all the gaon ki goris and suryaos, please do everyone a favor and leave ... let others who want to be, have a chance. I think less of those people who want to leave after getting a citizenship, than those who have love for their homeland and want to move back.

To Spyder and others - those who keep complaining about people who are bold enough to write their negative experiences or simple views of what they miss.

Just as you say that such persons should leave and go home, may I take the liberty of suggesting that it is easier to STOP visiting site and commenting without any admission or relating of personal experiences, than to leave Canada and go back to the country you came from. Try to parctice what you preach - if you don't like posts on this site - just read and ignore it.

Yes Canada is great in many things - but we are all human beings and not saints - we will complain of whatever situation we are in. The day we stop doing that, the day we forego greed, we will reach a much higher level of salvation. Normal human beings are not expected to act beyond - but they are considered good and great if they have the patience to listen to others, boldness of sharing their personal experiences, good and bad, ability to guide others with their knowledge and experience, and above all, the confidence to bring positive feelings in fellow human beings BEFORE they decide to comment on anything. From your 4 line comments, I am sorry to say, I find all these qualities missing in you Spyder.

PLEASE let others share experiences and feelings - and try to generate liking for Canada rather than being harsh and asking them to leave.

CanadianDesi is for everyone to share their experiences.

As a human nature, people who have complain will write more than the people who are satisfied.

So if you feel that there are some negative thinkers on this site - just consider this.

Also note that Chandresh is still in this country even after 3 years!!

It shows LOVE and HATE relationship with CANADA!

Best of Luck to All!

People genuinely posting negative experience is one thing while those who proclaim having a hard time without giving any effort trying to blend in or fit in is quite something else.

So, Chandresh can misconstrue my comments and put any spin he wants, but he cannot deny the fact that these very same folks try to live their lives just like they do back home. Most of these folks who take pride in their 'desiness' do not come to the western hemisphere in order to widen their horizon, if you will. The result is that they turn bitter..

They cant enjoy things that draw millions to these lands. Instead, they blame it on discrimination and claim they have bad experiences. At the risk of being called snobbish, I know quite a few Indians who do not like one bit of American Culture (not talking finer things like art and theatre) just plain things that are peculiar to western world (for the lack of better word). They do not put an iota of effort to change their ways. Instead they are close minded and blame the west for their miseries.

These proud 'Indians' who are not even aware that the term 'Indian' is demeaning, come to the west purely for economic reasons and in turn blame the west for their miseries. They have no love lost for the locals' way of life. On the contrary, they more than often, speak ill of the locals' ways of life.

I live in spitting distance from Canadian Border and have lived nearly a decade in various parts of the US. I like my canadian friends who are more progressive and left leaning than others. I visit canada regularly and find people quite affable. If you have trouble with such liberal and 'socialistic' (as my US counterparts call em) society, then you need to do some soul searching.

To be quite honest with you, I dont endorse youth who confuse being north american with all things that are stereotyped in east as hedonistic. My suggestion is.. if you can't blend in and more importantly, cant enjoy living life in Canada, please consider leaving... Let others who enjoy western lifestyle have a crack at it and you can put yourself out of misery....
