I called one of government offices. I was told, if I have the citizenship card, that I get on day of oath, i can travel to USA without having canadian passport. The card is good enough. Even the web site states the same.
When you are travelling to USA from Canada you don't need passport. However if you enter USA from anywhere else even if you are Canadian you will still need passport. Actually once in USA you can apply for passport with Canadian Consulate in your City and avoid lineups

After citizenship, the only difference is that you become eligible to work in the US on a TN visa. Briefly speaking, it is a visa that allows you to work in the US for one year provided you have a job offer and the job is one of those in the list that is eligible for TN. Couple of days ago, one of my friends advised me that since I have Canadian Citizenship now, I'll have to surrender my Indian Passport to the authorities. Keeping Canadian Citizenship Card and Indian Passport is criminal and I am obliged to go to the Indian and Canadian authorities myself and inform them about my Canadian Citizenship.
I did not know about that.
Anyone has any idea on this? Is it true or he was just faking? Because I have still not informed Indian Authorities about my Canadian Citizenship.

From what I ve heard, when you apply for canadian passport, you will have to surrender your IMM form / landing paper to authorities and also they will stamp "cancelled " on your indian passport.
