Job outlook for biotech
Hello everybody. I am doing Ph.D. in microbiology in U.S. I have done masters in Biochemistry and Bachelors in microbiology in India. It would help me a lot if somebody enlightened me about job prospects for microbiologists/biotechnologists in Canada. Thanks.

Hi Raju,

After completing your Phd you can try for jobs in the pharmaceutical or food industries in Canada. Knowledge in GMP is always desirable. I know a girl who has a doctorate in microbiology and is earning around $65,000 per year. This should give you an idea of the salary range you can negotiate if you are called for an interview.
