It is 10% not 10KMH and these guys are very strict if it is 50KM district, because of School Zone or Senior Residences etc.

Couple of reasons:
a) School/seniors zone
b) ZERO TOLERANCE policy on those days.
c) Its month end, and the cop didnt meet his targets

Last time my policy was up for renewal, and i was shopping around, they did ask me if i had traffic tickets...

Looks like it establishes how dangerous u r.
And if we dont loose no points, but get a ticket, Can they find out? How?

And if we dont loose no points, but get a ticket, Can they find out? How?

It depends on area,

Midland Road, There is a Senior School - South of Lawrence and North of Eglinton is 50KM not 40KM

Don Mills Road - North of Fairview Mall drive and South of Vanhorne - 50KM, Senior and Junior School are there.

I understand that insurance companies disregard your first 'minor' ticket, while determining your insurance premium. However, a second or subsequent ticket will almost invariably result in a substantial increase.
In regards to speeding - any speeding ticket for a speed ranging from 0 - 49 km/hr would qualify as a 'minor' ticket and would therefore not lead to an immediate increase in insurance premium, notwithstanding any demerit points accumulated on that ticket.

This has held true for me, with my insurance policies from Meloche Monnex.

No idea about Merc's situation, looks like he got lucky - just wondering though, why weren't you challenging the ticket in the first place?
