Most probably you will not receive even the first date. A clear case of police trying to collect funds rather than 'controlling' the traffic.
I was once caught and charged similarly (on a downhill road where the speed, even if you do not accelarate, goes beyond 50). I was brave enough to ask the cop as to why they purposely waited at the bottom of the downhill road in a low speed area rather than at a place where people are driving at 100 in a 70 area - and his reply was - 'ask our chief - he wants us to issue a 1000 tickets this month and get some money as fines'.
After hearing this - I appealed - and as I had guessed - I never got a court date. And by the way, each city has its own ruling as to timing after which an offence expires if judgement is not given in that time frame. In Vaughan, it is 9 months - and I was able to check the status of my ticket on website. It disappeared after the time speicified.
Police try this method so that they can get some money atleast - rather than laying a big fine and then spending officer's time to appear in the court to be able to collect the fine.

You r absolutely right.
I see most of the time they stand on downhill and catch innocent drivers. The area where they stand is totally isolated and no residence nearby. Their purpose is to collect money rather than controlling the traffic. On one day I saw Para Transpo bus coming behind me and it overtook me at much higher speed. The cop ahead was just waiving hand to the bus driver to slow down. He did not stop him but let him go.
Not to recommend using this and then speeding crazily, but to avoid speed traps setup for cash grab.
