I liked this thread, it gives some kind of pleasant feeling when you read poems. This is one of the poem I read in the recent past.

People are often unreasonable, illogical and self centered;
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and gain some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.
What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway
If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you have got anyway.
You see, in the final anaylsis, it is between you and God;
It was never between you and them anyway.

OK, there is a poem from 8 year child. Tell me what you make out of it...

I CAN KICK-KICK-KICK
I CAN KICK-KICK-KICK
I CAN KICK UP HIGH-I CAN KICK DOWN LOW
I CAN KICK HIGH-I CAN KICK LOW
I CAN KICK HIGH-LOW HIGH-LOW HIGH-LOW
I CAN KICK SIDE TO SIDE- SIDE TO SIDE
I CAN KICK ANY WHERE-ANY WHERE I WANT

Now Now dont be so modest! Why are you giving the credit for writing this poem to an 8 year old child.

I think the child has an affinity for violence (just kidding!)

Actually I thought this kid's poem has rythym. It's got quite a positive element to it, it's the kind of sing-song poem a kid might chant if he was playing...
