Dear All,
BY the grace of SAIBABA, I have been right on the track which I decided before coming. Its been only 8 physical days in CANADA but mentally I was here since almost a year now and hence knew what kind of sequencial flow would be required to settle.[quote\]
That means u r here from 1 year not 8 days!

However let me mention here that people who have spent more then 5/10 years in SALES/Mktg, these jobs are quite easy to get (Not a big deal). I always knew from my survey and feel about canada that "THIS COUNTRY IS ALL ABOUT PRESENTING YOURSELF". I firmly believe now and my confidance has increased from my own experience that if you can communicate well, you would surely survive and at a long run settle.[quote\]

What is your job profile? It will be good for immigrants to tap this field as there seems ample of man power shortage in this particular segment.

Hi VJ,
Congrats on getting job......... I just have one question for you.......is this job with Citibank or PCFinancial because from my personal experience these two companies are the only ones that hire new immigrants easily. I worked with both when i immigrated to canada in 2002. I too got job in the first week. And I had no experience whatsoever. That was my first job of my life. It was with Citibank and they used to pay 11.50 an hour plus commission. I worked there for two months and then i switched to PCFinancial where I used to get 14.50 plus commision. I don't know what they pay now.I worked there for 4 months.......then.......well thats different story. All my friends worked with one of these two when they immigrated. Even now whenever I meet new immigrant without job I usually recommend either of these two. As a matter of fact, financial sales jobs are easiest to get when you don't have any canadian experience. But these jobs can be frustrating and hard but I guess every person is different and some people have sales oriented personality and easily fit into these. Since you have sales experience from India, I guess you won't find this job hard. In the end what matters is job satisfaction. I would like to suggest you something. Try technical sales if you really like sales. In this country this area is huge and you make more money as compared to financial sales. But I guess it is your choice. Congrats once again and I wish you happy future.
cheers,
Aman Singh.
