Subject: Echocardiography test for vistor visa
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Massoodji,
My mother applied for multiple entry vistor visa (she came to Canada once before) and was asked to undergo medicals, which she did. Now she got a letter from CHC Newdelhi asking her to get echocardiography test done. Is it common to ask for this test? My mother has a hole in her heart since her birth(Now 60 year old)- when it was found 4/5 years back, doctors said not to worry as she did not have problem so far and particularly nothing adverse happened at delivery time. Will this fact affect issue of visa to her? Why do they ask for reoport on heart when vistors are not covered under OHIP and we are supposed to take care of medical expenses ,if any?
Thanks,
Vijay
