magazines like Chandamama & Champak apart from the comics.

I was just wondering who does the cartoons in \"The Times of India\" now considering that R.K. Laxman is not keeping well. I have been a great fan of R.K. Laxman's \"You said it\" cartoons.

I have a collection of about 30 titles of AMC with me here in Scarborough, if anybody wants to borrow them for a while, please email or PM. I tried to get the complete set, but its not on sale anywhere. Also, I noticed the graphics are different than the original what we used to read in the 80's. The old ones were pretty simple and smooth on the eyes, the new ones seems more action oriented.

Anybody knows where you can buy the complete set of AMC? I tried to contact IBH, no luck.

AMC and Indrajal were my favourites in Indian comics. Indrajal gave us Indian (Bahadur) as well as Foriegn (Phantom, Madrake) heroes in those days.

Keep this going...

All comics...nearly 10K Indian Rupees.....

I do agree with you.. The newer versions are more gawdy...and do not effuse a simplistic charm that was the highlight of the older versions
But I guess, times change...ppl also change !

Have you noticed the cartoons in Tinkle...esp Suppandi and Tantri the Mantri...Previously those were handled by the late Ram Waeerkar..Now-a-days..I cant seem to relate myself with T-T-M

BTW folks...why dont we all pool in resources and order a huge chunk of these comics... I am interested in the the Mahabharata 42 vol series...Rs. 935... But that alone will be very expensive...

Any takers for this ?

Thank ON for the link. I clicked on the complete set and it shows only 240+ items, I m sure there are more (could be out of stock). However, the amount INR 9500 (approx) is not a big amount in view of the collection..will get it one day when convienent to bring in from India...pooling wont be a bad idea if one of us volunteers to do the legwork...I can if other CDs are interested.
