I became a PR in June this year, returned to India to get married (we had a court marriage in new delhi in july) and am arriving in Canada on Aug 15 and joining a univ as a student. I want my wife to join me ASAP. I have downloaded all forms and am completing them. Fortunately, I do not have to show income proof now (rules have changed) although I can show bank funds.
I understand that in about 6 weeks her file reaches new delhi high commission and then her passport is kept indefinitely. This is scary as I want her to join me ASAP. Pls advice
