I guess as per CHC N Delhi website, they will finalise only those cases in 2005 wch were submitted prior to end of Mar 2003. All cases after that would be finalised in 2006 depending on quota for the next year....I guess they will keep in mind the medical expiry period (hopefully)

Just wondering, reachash from where did you get this information.
I would like to know in more detail which is 'submitted where' in CHC when your file is began or .. when you hve submitted your file in New delhi..
Also wht is specific March 2003.. is it march 2003 end means 31st March or March 1st.
May be very hard to get this information, but I think I have submitted in March 30 2003...so still I am hoping atleast 10% that they clear this year.. because if they says next year..doesn't mean when they start processing in next year.. they may not start in 2006.. imm.in jan or feb.. I think after waiting this much I assume.. may be there are just working 2-3 month in a year....

It all depends on # of factors.
such as:
1. When you got the medical done
2. Whether you have submitted the updated papers as asked for
3. Whether medical has been furthered which means CHC wants more tests to be completed
4. When you have paid ROLF, if you have paid it now, wite off three months for processing of this fees. I paid along with sponsorship application in 2002.
5. I have seen people who applied after March 2003 got Landing papers before me.
If everything else is OK then your parent will get visa before the expiry of their medical whether it is in this year or next year. Make them prepared, may be they will have too short of time to land.

On 18 April 2005, the Minister announced a large increase in our visa-issuance targets for the parents and grandparents category. The Visa Office in New Delhi is currently working on a strategy to meet the new targets while continuing to deal with the various other priorities we have on hand.
After a preliminary review of our existing inventory, we estimate being able to finalize in 2005 those cases whose applications were received prior to the end of March 2003. This is an approximate date, therefore, as our plans gel and we determine to what extent the cases involve complications, the date may change slightly. Those cases where applications were received after March 2003 will be processed within the context of the targets allotted to us for 2006 and subsequent years.
In the meantime, we would appreciate your patience and understanding as we undertake this considerable challenge. We anticipate having a better sense of our processing times for parents and grandparents in approximately three months when our procedures for handling this additional work are fully in place.
