my mom-in-law still didn't get visa stamped. We spoke with MP's off and they tell us may be coz the quota for 2005 is over, so they may stamp her passport in Jan 2006 !!!!!!!!!!!!
It's been more than 2 months since she sent her passport for visa stamp. Her medicals completed in May 2005. What a bunch of craps at CHC N Delhi.
They are just not accountable for their lethargy.
Hope things work out sooner in Jan 2006.

oh...
but now it's 2006.. u can call them up again; before election and ask them when the new quota will start..
hope she will get the visa soon..
I know it's hard..
good news !!!!!!
Today I checked on e-cas....my mom-in-law's appl status changed to "Decision Made"....with following remarks,
"Medical results have been received.
A decision has been made on -(MY MOM-IN-LAW'S NAME)- application. The office will contact -(MY MOM-IN-LAW'S NAME)- concerning this decision"
So I guess she should recv her passport within couple of weeks. I will update the info as it happens.

She got her passport back on Jan/30/2006. She is expected to land here on Feb/09/2006. Hope things work out for others as well. In our case, MP's off helped us a lot.
