With regards to this post, I would also like to get an opinion reg getting the visa stamping on the passport. Has anyone's parents ever tried going to CHC N Delhi personally for visa stamping rather than forwarding the passport in the mail ?

Do they allow such a thing ?

I mean it is very likely that delays in the mail can further delay your process. Moreover, you could even end up loosing your passport wch becomes a hot property after visa being stamped.

Can they deny a person who visits CHC N Delhi personally from other parts of India to get visa stamp ?

Any experiences or knowledge ????

I heard High Commision does not entertain personal delivery in case of immigrant visas. Because sometimes CHC ask passport in advance before actual processing of visa.

Still you can check.

Immigration details of my parent's application

Timelines
Applied Jan 2003
Medical received:May 2005, Completed June 2005
Request for updated papers received May 2005, Sent July 2005
Passport request September 20, 2005
Visa received : October 11, 2005

I wish to hear good news from others also.
