With all good intentions I started writing on this thread yesterday morning – the only free day I had got in last one month. Seems it was a bad omen, and I received a call that my son had met with a minor car accident………..and well, the whole day and evening, including this morning was spent in looking after the car, the case, insurance etc. etc.

I WONDER ,REPLYING A POST A BAD OMEN

:(

PTM,

I think you're taking this too far. Chandresh has been pretty civil about it however you're trying to push some personal buttons in your past few posts. And that's not right.

Although you or I may not agree with some of Chandresh's opinions (as he may not with ours), the fact remains that Chandresh does have a very balanced assement of Canada from his perspective. He is one of the few people who dislikes some aspects of life here yet at the same time acknowledges the positives. So in this situation, if you quote from different posts without context, the opinions seem conflicting.

Rather than asking Chandresh to change his article, I think it may be more constructive for you to post one with your opinions that contradict any point you disagree on.

I agree!
If someone is 'misguided' by Chandresh's opinion is it not possible that the person may relate to Chandresh ? Maybe then he is being guided and not misguided. He will probably react the same way Chandresh does and may not be willing to trade what he currently has for a worse(in his perception) situation.
My personal opinion differs from Chandresh...wether it is love being more abundant in India or opportunities. That does not make me right(especially from Chandresh's point of view).
Let him be the unique person he is...just as he has the civility and patience to let you be.

To Chandresh:

Here your post being from another thread:

These “labor” category people are those who were having low profile dead end jobs in India having no prospects of getting rich and they are the guys who multiply their miniscule savings by 35 and feel satisfied working under some 12th grade drop out! They do not want to help other Desi, suck up to their boss, do not want to acknowledge the great strides India has made since they left India.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do not want to comment on your other material - but since this one directly affects me, am doing so:

You are totally misinformed or assume things in such a sic! manner. I am one of those 'labor' category guys in Canada - however, I possess professional qualifications both from India and US (NOT just university and not ANY professional qualifications). I do not multiply my savings by 35 because in last 4 years, on an average I spend about 2500 per month from my savings before coming to Canada! As the CD forum would vouch for it, I am always willing and have actually helped Desis in whatever manner my capacities allow. My ex-boss and present bosses still respect me for my knowledge and experience and I do not suck up to them - and above all, I do find that India has made a name for itself and I am waiting for the day I will be able to go back there and live!

And I personally know some guys who have similar profile like mine.

So do wake up and correct your notion about labor category!

Chandresh

PS - By the way, it is general knowledge and common sense that people choose their screen names depending upon their own experiences and their thought processes.

I am not to be thinking that I misread 'labour' as 'labourious' or to spelling above as 'labor'.

Maybe perhaps you can to be telling us what you to be doing? I am already tolding that I am thinking from your English and by you to be giving forex classes, that you maybe to being consultant. I am to be making that call becos you on another thread tolding you work 3 part time jobs.Actually, I am to be extremely surprised to be reading that you to be of 'labor' category as the above posting is connoting. But then I am thinking about the 3 part time jobs and thinking why I assuming you be consultant, when 3 part time jobs can of 'labor' category being.
I am knowing many peoples with good angrezi and doing labor jobs, so if one more, kya badaa sauda hai usme.
Please ekdum not to be 'misreading' this. I am not to be knocking you nor wishing to connote anything neg about you. I am already tolding you are perplexing aadmi and wish that all your good comes round to you and it is looking it is as u r tolding u cracked $5000 in month.
Joseph Conrad bhi "Lord Jim" likha tha aur was compulsory reading being in our school. Polish aadmi tha and according to what teacher tolding us, he not speaking nor writing English till ekdum late in life and then he write literary oeuvre d'art in English! Ekdum amazing!

I think the basic point underlying this post was what made Chandresh go back to India & then come back to Canada.

Every country has its good & bad points definitely. Chandresh's insight would have given would-be immigrants & those immigrants who are already in Canada & are not happy a good insight on what struggle one has to go thro' in order to be successful.

The struggle makes a person think a lot & it is not wrong in evaluating both good & bad factors. Infact every balanced person would do the same. That is what makes many immigrants fight & stay on. Or simply it would be financial factors which would be stopping people from going back i.e. not enough money for the flight back home.

Ofcourse no one can force Chandresh to give his explanation as there might be personal factors also. But it would be good guidance if Chandresh guides us on what made him go back & then come back again.

Thanks & regards.

Rajan.

I am really surprised to see the posts of chandresh and Bluelobster.
i never talked arrogant or vulger. I was simply pointing out the different and contradictory views of a person who is having an important position on the CD website. I thinks chandresh is a bit tense and irritated as recently his son met with an accident and chandresh himself got his neck broken. His recent remarks vouch for his tense frame of mind.

thinking of ptm the first thing when I sat down on my
desk was the bad omen!

AM I A DEVIL OR SOMEONE SO BAD THAT THINKING ABOUT ME BROUGHT MISFORTUNE TO YOU ?

I invite ptm to visit me at a place chosen by him in GTA
(but if it is an expensive hotel/restaurent, he foots
the bills!!) to explain things to him and clarify his
misunderstanding (because I truely believe he is not
understanding the underlying issues at hand). I also
promise that if he is able to convince me even 50% that
he is right in his thiking, I will publicly post an
apology and remove my posts or articles which he thinks
should be removed (the way he is pounding on the
article, I think he wants to convey that Canada is a bed
of roses, but I might be wrong, so he will have to
direct me)

I AM NOT IN CANADA . PRESENTLY I AM IN INDIA. I NEVER WANTED TO CONVEY THAT CANADA IS A BED OF ROSES. RATHER AFTER TRYING IN CANADA I AM BACK IN INDIA.

And if I am able to convince him that both views can
co-exist, he should be brave enough to publicly accept
that he was misunderstanding and apologise for the
mud-slinging he is trying to bring to this thread!

I NEVER INVOLVED IN ANY MUD-SLINGING ON CHANDRESH. AND IF CHANDRESH WISHING TO DISCUSS THE MATTER FURTHER HE CAN COME TO INDIA ( THOUGH I AM NOT TO BEAR HIS AIR FARE , HE CAN STAY WITH ME NEW DELHI ).
AND WHERE THE QUESTION OF SEEKING APOLOGY.WHY SHOULD I APOLIGISE. WHAT GRAVE I HAVE DONE TO HIM.IT IS HIS SELF PROFESSED EGO AND ESTEEM WHICH MIGHT HAVE HURT.

And if both ptm and bally are NOT able to pin point the
areas where my posts are wrong and still they write
posts in general saying I am misleading, I will simply
say they are eu..................(forget it!)

WHAT IS THIS EU.....

I HOPE IT IS NOTHING LIKE ABUSIVE

By the way ptm, do you still not get the difference
between a primely displayed article and a link to ALL
articles just like any link to a tiffin service ad in
the classifieds? I pity your...........I am at loss of
words.

IN YOUR OPINION THE MASTERPIECE ARTICLE WRITTEN BY YOU AND TIFFIN SERVICE AD ARE HAVING SAME IMPORTANCE.
WHAT YOU PITTY MY......
I AGAIN HOPE IT IS NOT ABUSIVE.

YEAH ,YOU HAVE TO BE LOSS OF WORDS. YOU ARE GLOBAL MODERATOR OF THE CD SITE AND YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND THAT DIFFERENCE OF AN ARTICLE AND AND A TIFFIN SERVICE AD. YOU MUST KNOW THAT A TIFFIN SERVICE AD HARDLY STAY FOR ONE WEEK AND YOUR ARTICLE IS STILL DECORATING THE SITE . ALSO EXCEPT FEW ONE NO BODY SEE TIFFIN SERVICE AD THOUGH YOUR ARTICLE IS RATED GOOD .

With all good intentions I started writing on this
thread yesterday morning – the only free day I
had got in last one month. Seems it was a bad omen,
and I received a call that my son had met with a minor
car accident

I have broken my
neck and just visited the doctor yesterday who advised
me to go to a massage therapist or chiropractor.

I AM SORRY FOR YOU AS I AM PROVING BAD OMEN FOR YOU. FIRST YOUR SON MET AN ACCIDENT AND THEN YOU HAD BROKEN YOUR NECK. I CAN UNDERSTAND YOUR MENTAL STATE . BUT IF YOU WORK FOR 5K $ YOU HAVE TO BEAR THE BLUES.

I WISH YOU SPEADY RECOVERY.

My ex-boss and present bosses still respect me for my knowledge and experience and I do not suck up to them

EVERY SINCERE AND HARDWORKING PERSON GET RESPECT FROM HIS BOSSES AND IT IS GOOD THAT FOR YOUR KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE YOU ARE ALSO GETTING RESPECT FROM YOUR BOSSES. IT DOES NOT MATTER FOR OTHERS WHETHER YOU SUCK UP TO THEM OR NOT.;)

BLUELOBSTER I ALWAYS ADMIRED YOUR VALUED AND BALANCED VIEWS. BUT I AM REALLY SURPRISED YOU ARE SAYING THAT I AM TAKING THIS TOO FAR. I AM MERELY TRYING TO HIGHLIGHT CONTRADICTORY VIEWS OF A PERSON. IF THE PERCEPTION OF THE PERSON HAS CHANGED , IN MY OPINION HIS ORIGINAL MASTERPIECE STANDS NO MORE VALID AND NEEDED TO BE SUITABLY MODIFIED.
I HAVE NOTHING PERSONAL AGAINST CHANDRESH.
YOU ARE SAYING CHANDRESH HAS BEEN PRETTYCIVIL.
I HOPE BY VIEWING HIS REMARKS YOU WILL RECONSIDER YOUR OPINION THAT HE IS CIVIL.

ANOTHER CIVIL COMMENT BY CHANDRESH

In short, there has not been any change of heart - and
my article still stands and I mean each word of it that
I had written. I only need someone intelligent enough to
read and understand that well - I think ptm and others
have many a times failed to understand the message
behind the article.

PERHAPS WE ARE NOT INTELLIGENT ENOUGH TO READ AND UNDERSTAND YOUR ARTICLE AND FAILED TO UNDERSTAND THE MESSAGE BEHIND THE ARTICLE.

First of all, I didn't mean my remarks to be critical of you, in case you took it that way. In fact I think you raised a legit piont. But there's a common-sense limit to how much you can push someone on something, at some point you have to let it go. That's the context the "too far" comment was made in. I never accused you of being arrogant or vulgar.

And like Jake said, there may be a thousand things I disagree with Chandresh on. When speaking of Canada and immigration, I probably agree with your views much more than I do with Chandresh's. But those are his views and rather than having him explain them over and over again (and in his opinion he already has), it may be better for you to present your views. I just think its a more contructive way of going about it.

And yes, I don't agree with his comments on the bad omen (and some other stuff he said to you). But this brings me back to pushing someone's buttons in the wrong way, eventually you end up frustrating that person beyond their natural composure. I've met Chandresh a few times and I can attest to the fact that he's a pretty nice guy and that's not his normal demeanour.

So before this gets too bitter, I think we should all call it quits since everybody's made their points. That's my opinion, I leave the rest to you and Chandresh.
