I always wonder why we start bitching & use all our sarcasm againt another desi? Here on this site also, most of threads have started a word war..!! (I am part of it too)
We try to be so nice & professional to outsiders, no matter what color or country they are from, suddenly we Indians are like India haters & Canada lovers or vice versa?? Why???
somebody commented that Indians are illeterate & somebody else says Indians doesn't know English...!

Probaby because when one tries to pass off their perception as 'reality', someone else with another 'reality' comes up to object.
Infact I think each one of us is trying to only defend our version of 'reality'.
e.g: I'm one of those who love it here, am very well settled and consider Canada my 'home', and India my 'native-place'. Now if someone come along and tells me that my home is all crap...i'm likely to defend it. Isnt that normal?
The stronger any attack against our 'reality'...the stronger the defence.
Since you are going back to India let us know if this is not something that occurs there

Probably you are right.
'that' will not occur in India as I've always considered India as my 'home' & this returning back was really decided when we left India for Canada, 10 years apne logo se door rahe, it is more than enough, sub kuch mila lekin apane logo ki kami bahot lagi rahi..!
Our relationship with fellow desis quite resembles typical shaas and bohu relationship, we like picking up each other for everything we do and in absentia we miss each other like anything

hahaha yeah bro indian_immigrant u r right. but I agree with jake, it hurts when u love someplace and people on threads or in public start to tell that its all a "crap", then u have to defend ur home. isn't this all normal.
i also think canada is my home and so i hate some people saying that canadian immigration is not worth. as they might had bad experiences here but not everyone is like them. we should atleast not demoralized others if we can't help them.

Don't start this again here Duncan, nobody tried to demoralise you, I myself didn't really go thro' what we call 'frustration after immigration' as my husband is CCNP & had a job from India only as far as my teaching concerned I went & I did it, though it took longer. Still we are going back as we didn't really like Canada, I don't think why you should defend our disliking Canada, as I already said it is personal if you like it or not like it.
Also it is not only bitching on this site or bitching about canada or canadian immigration, what I mean was in general, it is all over here, we give good look on outsiders but not desis.
by "demoralising" I was talking bout new immigrants and not me. as I don't care bout the public opinion on me and my work as long as I am right. but I have seen many desis who tries to demoralise young immigrants. anyway who cares.
yeah I agree with u that its all personal, some likes and some dislike.
