1. There are already a few desi's in the politics, some be already be CDs under alias we dont know.
2. Canada should add another cateogry for immigration under 'Skilled Politician' for our most successful desi politicians.

I am sure they will fail the medicals actually
but then with contacts, money and power, they will be able to get a perfect report.
And when they come here what will be their reason of coming to Canada? To lead a bettr lifestyle? NO.......but to convert Canada into Bihar.

I think its a good idea if someone is inclined and wants to do it.
To be an agent of change, one must enter the system - especially at the political level. If one's passion is to create better services/policies help new professionals etc... by standing up as a community leader they can make a difference.

Well the most probable reason can be that there is not many desis exists in TO who think about Community development. Most of Desis are happy here making few dollars, meeting sometimes in desi festivals and stay happy with their small family and network...
I have not seen much desi activities in TO atleast. BTW careful using slogan 'convert Canada into Bihar'.. u might be deported from canada if the immigration official somehow comes to know about this intention of yours, or if some Bihari is reading this he would be waiting for you next to your office/home...
