DT looks like youve picked up some habits during your stay down south :). You wear a gunbelt?

Seriously, these critters look so cute... I would certainly fall from grace HARD, with my kids if I ever shot the raccoons.

On the net someone suggested putting anti freeze on the garbage, they apparently die a horrible slow death, freezing from the insides. Brrr!

OK, I may have another problem on my hands....

I was in my walk-in closet this moring and I was observing a top I wanted to wear that looked like it had a stain on it (it was only a peice of rope from my dogs toy) Anyway, it was very quiet while I was examining my top and all of a sudden I became aware of a chirping...and it was coming from above my head.

I was in my garden the other day and did notice how a bird was sitting on our roof looking quite at home and I remember even mentioning to my hubby.

Could there be birds in my roof?? What if there's a nest....with chicks?

As a home designer :
All your houses are made bird proof. It is unlikely that there is such a big hole in the roof to allow a bird in. It thus might be extremly rare for a bird to enter inside. However your roof interior is ventilated so a bird may not die if it was inside.
Suggestion :
I suggest that you open the roof hatch (from inside your house and possibly located above walk in closet or closet) and shine a torch to find out.
In the event it is there, we need to find out how it went. if there is a bird there, we need to find out the hole and seal it. if you donot seal it, then your roof trusses may be come moist and can lead to collapse in 20-30 years.
TK
Sidenote : Rats are common but not birds
