@ Tej84 Without providing Personal Details, it becomes difficult to approach some one to help you.
So, I kept myself away from responding.
@ andykol76 This is your first post. No one knows you. So, give us some personal details about yourself and be specific about your stay there in Halifax. Is it just for one day or a few hours and your budget for the stay and any little information that you can throw at us. Some one will surely respond or ask you for more details.
Good Luck.
FH.
Tej84,
Please search Kijiji.com to find accomodation. Accomodation in Canada is easy to find and the land lords are not cunning to cheat you.
As a precaution, send no money and say that you will land and see the place and then pay, if the accomodation is good. Some motels also rent for cheap rates. Try to see that phone and internet connection is there and is free for you. Also your hydro (electricity bill) should be included in the rent.
Je Suis Canada !

Go to google and get the Google Maps of the town of Halifax. N.S. In there you will see the location where you will be working. That should tell you where it is that you want to find a place, close enough to just walk to work.
Halifax is an Old town. (It is a PENINSULA) So, you will always have a breezy atmosphere, does not matter where you live. (Though the Gulf STREAM passes close by, it is always a cold place and some years it is so foggy you can't see the tip of your own nose)
Anyway, the Bachelors' accommodation will run you anywhere from $600 and upwards. But being the old part of town, the places will be lot more spacious, but not POSH. So, take a place and crash there. Most of them provide you with ONE parking space. You can use it or do what you want with it.
That will be the best. If you move out of Halifax, then you get into Bus and Transport problems and you don't want them for starters. Don't go for sharing a room with some one, if you are going to start work in a BANK.
Good Luck.
FH.

Hello,
We are a family originally from Mumbai,India and now in Halifax. We have two girls and are looking for like minded people with girls to be friends with to share our common interest. We have lived in Ontarion and Alberta where the Indian community is much more established and easier to find people of similar interest than Halifax,Nova Scotia.
Regards
Nikibaba
