Can you prepare yogurt/curd at home in Canada? I tried it like we do in India but it did not work. Here milk has shelf life of 10 days or more but in India it is only 2 days.

hi,
boiled 2 cup of milk in microwave , cool it till warm ,mixed 2 tablespoon curd & 5 tablespoon warm milk & then add to remaining milk mixed well.
Boil the milk to the full and leave it to cool. When it is lukewarm add about 1 table spoon curd to a litre of milk. Stir the milk well. Use a hand churner/mixer or pass the milk from one container to another three - four times. Then keep the milk in the cooking range oven with the oven light on. I usually prepare curds in the evening and leave it overnight in the oven. Refrigerate the curds in the morning.
Make sure : you boil the milk well and mix the milk thoroughly after adding yoghurt to it.
