...Matter of perception my friend. Ask someone who has not shaved for a week…

Hi Fido;

I fully understand your situation. Your first post is on 26 August. Assuming two days of travel, this is ninth day of you going without shave. I wish and pray you find the shaving cream soon and lead a normal life.
After spending more than forty years in India, when I came to Canada, I had the same problem. It took me some time to adjust to foam in place of brush and creams. Then after four years in Canada, I moved on to China at a remote place where foam is not available. Now I am finding it hard again to adjust back on creams...

If I were you, just landed I would focus my energy in getting settled and look for a real job rather then worry about 3-4$ saving.

Think of getting on the feet as fas as you can and increase income rather then cutting 3-5$ expenses.

Well done, Mercury!
How long our Desis are going to discuss this boring subject and wasting
every body's time?

Hi There ,

Mercury ,
Yes I agree - its more important to find a job but its more important to be well groomed for that ... And I was asking for others opinion and knowledge ...no harm in that I believe ..Thats what a forum is for .. aint it ??

And Bala I am so surprised that despite the topic being so "boring" you find time to read all updates ....... pretty boring eh ..to read boring topics...

Anyway guys , I am settled with that initial blue after inaugrating the foam yesterday . And a second time it feels sure better than the first .Matter of getting used to it .

Any where where I can find shaving creams preferably Indian at reasonable prices . I found one @ a pharmacy for $8/-

Hello Fido !
Better to be late than never.
My 2 cents will be :
Use common bath soap as a substitute for shaving cream. It has the same effect as that of a shaving cream.
Me and my dad used to use this only when i was in India. My dad still uses the same technique.
You can use dettol or savlon or Edu colone as an aftershave.
Just my experiences.

Dear TK ,

As of now I m getting used to the foam and there s no problem with that . Only thing is when you r used to a thing for a long time uou certinly look around for it when u dont find it .

And did you know that soap / shaving cream themselves act as antiseptics for shaving nicks and aftershaves can be avoided .
