Much to the liking of the rich and the super-rich, who represent may be 1% of the 120 crore India's population, PC has again become the country's FM.
In a recent statement he has asked that when people can buy mineral water at Rs.15 and ice cream at Rs.20, why they should complain when rice or wheat price go up by Re.1.
The new FM doesn't know affluent people only use mineral water that too during travel and that people are dependent on rice or wheat, and not on ice creams for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
It is tragic for the people of the country that such an anti-people person occupies this key post.

Kind of agree , wording of analogy went wrong for him,
Question is , do we have good alternative to PC/MMS as economists who understand India internally as well as her standing at international level in economic forum. I doubt, so lets give it to the best of worsts ! PC is what we have. So live with it. I pity my country on that front.
BJP and as FM Yeshwant Sinha were far better. The home loan interest rates became affordable and many of the lower and middle class could go for a 2nd house or apartment then. It became dearer only after Cong and Chidambaram took over. In fact, every time he takes over, there is some scam in the share market. Is it sheer coincidence?
Sinha and BJP did not have the money bags and media support like what Chidambaram has now.
The people of the country have all but arranged Band Music for the exit of the corrupt Congress government and welcoming of BJP.
Any day, the top brass of the BJP starting from Advaniji are far better and patriotic and will give a clean government, compared to the counterparts Sonia, MMS, Chidambaram and others.
On its part, the Congress also knows what awaits them in the next elections. They want to empty the govt. coffers, make as much hay. Then when BJP comes to power, they will have Pranab Mukerjee to create problems and with their own money power make BJP's life miserable. They will also shed crocodile tears for Team Anna then. BJP is also ready to oblige them with their infighting and the greed within them

See what is going on in Karnataka. Janata gave a chance to BJP but the party/party leaders failed big time. Leaders are either in jail or on bail. The party does not have guts to take action on erring MLAs including those who are indulging anti party activities. Its natural that if they take action, the govt will fall. Chances of BJP coming to power in the state has reduced a lot.
I am wondering why Vasundhara Raje lost? Due to Gujjars? NO. Her govt did a bad job.
Now Anna has started the party, let's see how BJP deals with him.
If BJP had done a decent job in Karnataka, Bangalore would have become their gateway to South.
But at the national level, people like Vajpayee, Advani, Modi, Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitley, Yashwant Sinha, Jaswant Singh, Dr. Joshi are all far better compared to Sonia, Rahul, Chidambaram, Kapil Sibal etc.
Anna's political party will only split anti-incumbency vote and favor the corrupt congress. Team Anna has built up a good brand name in cities and towns, from where BJP and Anna can garner 50 MPs. Anna and BJP should play their cards carefully, form a coalition to defeat the Congress.
Team Anna's aim must be to put 20 or 25 honest MPs in Lok Sabha, to work as watch dogs better than having 200 or 250 corrupt men.

Per recent blog by Advani, he's really pissed off with the Karnataka unit of BJP. Again in the centre, it will be coalition politics with lot of political compulsions. Coalition politics is here to stay. As long as there are idiotic voters, things wont change.
