Dear all,
Me and my wife are PR card holders currently we are in India. we desire to go back to canada . my infant child was born in India can anyone advise me
1. how can i get my child to canada?
2. should i apply for a vistor visa for my child and then sponsor him from canada?

First - this information will be best obtained from Canadian High commission in India or any immigration lawyer in India.
Second, if the birth of your child was not sudden, how come you did not enquire about these things earlier and plan for the same. Or is it that you have suddenly decided that now that your child is born, you want to go back to Canada and get a PR for him too?

We will be falling in the same category..............PRs based in India.........when should we plan i.e. should the chils be born in Canada or in India & then moved through a PR.
Going back to canada for Child Birth does not make sence as we will have to be there for atleast 3 months, will have to leave the the job in India.....
Pls. advice, how will the childs citizenship be of assistence to us the parents who are PRs based in India

Even this reply is very late may it help others , I also in same categary I send Formal Letter to Canadian Emabssy & they Call me very next day & inform me to Submit Passport & Visia Application for new Born Child as Visitor & He or she can travel with you once you landed fill application for your Child & PR will be genrated.

You become a Permant Resident in Canada only when you land in Canada. If your child is Canadian citizen, you do not have to file for immigration of the child to Canada (what assisstance to parents are you talking about?) .
