So my friend, I say, Go Canada.

BV

could not agree more... both our kids were born here, one in Ottawa and another in Calgary, neither times was any of our family here, and both times the care that my wife and kids received was excellent.. and its not just the actual delivery but the followup support that you would get here (in my opinion) is more helpful than having a truckload of relatives...

being by ourselves gave us a chance to experience the true impact of having children, and overall not only helped us bond better with our kids, but also bond with each other more... it fosters better understanding between the couple and a spirit of sharing and cooperation... in retrospect, im glad we decided against having any family here...

but then again, my opinion may be biased on the fact that i dont really like most of my relatives :)

HAVE THE BABY HER SAVE YOUR SELF ALOT OF TROUBLE LATTER. WHAT IF YOU HAVE TROUBLE GETTING HIM HERE . HOW LONG CAN YOU STAY IN INDIA BEFORE THE PROCESS FINNISHES. i THINK YOU NEED TO GET QUALIFIED TO SPONSER YOUR DEPENDANTS HERE TOO SO THAT IS ANOTHER HEAD ACHE. THE PPL HERE ARE WONDERFUL AND ONE OF YOUR MOMS CAN ALWAYS COME HERE AND BE THE SUPPORT YOU NEED.

GO AHEAD AND HAVE FUN

....Also, the health support system over here really sucks, and complications during childbirth (if any) may not be handled too well over here (that's what I feel!!)....

I think medical care is pretty good over here as far as labour and delivery is concerned. Do not compare it to somebody's bad emergency room experiences! Also it is unfair to compare one country's public health care system with another country's private health care system.

We did not have any relatives or friends to help here after the child was born and it was quite painful for a week after delivery to get everything going.

If you can get a relative to help you over here for a month or two that would be great!
