I came to Canada in April 2002 with my family and parents who were already landed immigrants. My mother got ill and was diagnosed as a case of cancer of liver. As it was a fatal illness we honored her wish to go back to Pakistan and I went with her. She died there and I came back to Canada after 2months and in this hard circumstances, I lost my landing papers. I paid the fee and got the copy of these papers here in Canada. My wife and children got citizenship about 1 year ago but I have not been called even for the test of citizenship.
I called immigration office but they say that I should wait and my file was still in process. Whether this delay is due to lost landing papers, I don't know. What should I do? One year is lot of time to wait.
thanks for the help
