Its very sad to read about another murder case in the Indian community.
Im curious as to why there seems to be a rise in indo canadian murders recently. Is it increasing mental health problems? economic? Is it a cultural assimilation problem?
What can we do?

Ppl who come from abroad do not have time or choice to check the compatibility. Girls / parents are eager to marry an NRI groom.
Compatibility / lack of it thereof is figured later. Most marriages survive , some dont and are blown by the media esp if it is an NRI case.

However, I could not understand why the reporter would write Grewal as Indo Canadian while the details in the news say that the couple was from Phoenix, Arizona, US.

According to BC newspapers, the husband resided in the Lower Mainland and his wife (they were separated) was in Phoenix.
