MNC stands for "Multi National company" (Its not a name)
This has been covered many times on this website, but people keep insisting on confusing people. When it comes to questions regarding immigration/citizenship/working in the US etc. I have consistently found Smiley's and dimple's answers to be the most valuable..
If you are working for a Canadian company outside of Canada the time DOES NOT count towards residency in Canada for citizenship purposes. It can and I think does count towards residency for PR purposes.
Now, it is up to the CIC and citizenship judge or whatever to deem time outside Canada as being ok in terms of you obtaining citizenship but it would be strictly on a case by case basis.
Please do not mislead people into thinking that time working outside Canada for a Canadian company can be counted towards citizenship.

We will find a way or we will make one
Hi, few days ago I asked a similar question (our residency situation is very different from yours). In one of the replies, a guy mentioned about a form he was asked to fill at the time of his citz which stated the time in and out of Canada. Its a special form and only asked for frequent flyers like your husband. Please check the link below and check the whole information he shared. Though it doesn't suit our circumstances but can help you, if I remember correctly...your case sounds similar to the guy who replied me.
Check out the link.

The form I mentioned above is called "Residency questionnaire". Please check this link where this has been discussed before (similar cases like yours).

Hi All,
Was just reading this thread and since the last post linked to my earlier one, just wanted to find out what would be the approximate time frame to either (a) be called before a judge
(b) called for the oath
after the required documents (Residence Questionnaire +.....) have been sent.
I sent mine 2 months ago and my online status still shows as "documents have been requested"....I spoke to a CIC agent who confirmed that they have received my docs and she gave me the standard 12-15 month reply. In the meantime I had to make another 24 day trip and will also be travelling in October and November.
Thanks!
