Multiple entry Visa

Hi All,
Last time my parents got 1 year multiple entry visitor visa , but I am looking now for at least 5-10 years.Could any one please suggest that what should I write in letter to Embassy to get multiple entry visa.
Should I write multiple entry visitor visa for 5 years or not.

You cannot just ask for 5 or 10 yr visa. It depends on the immigration officer granting the visa and the immigration history of the applicant. If you ask for the longer duration visa, your application might get affected adversely.
