Hi akkiluck,
Here is some information on FUEL systems and it is general in nature.
Here is a little bit of information on the HONDA, please check and see if it fits your make and model,
There is a very fine filter in line on most of the cars which takes away all of the particles, water etc., that clog the system. Hence the fuel injectors are very well taken care of.
Your system might call for a filter change or an additive to lubricate and enhance the performance of the fuel system. It is added to the system in limited quantities as required, over a period of time. It will be recommended by the trechnician after evaluation.

Every car has an owners manual. With that and the websites you can explore the vehicle, its parts and usage, that you are currently driving such as HONDA and get to know aboout it more in detail. Please try and do it for your own benefit and enhance the knowledge.
Hope my reply helps you with a little bit of info that you are seeking.
Good Luck.
Freddie.
I might be speaking very generic here but as per my experience in the past 'fuel injector' related problems cant be fixed , the fuel injector needs to be replaced .
If one has an option and the problem is confirmed (check with some other garage as well) better to change such a car if less expensive then replacing the fuel injector .
However my advise may be very generic .
