I'm from India and recently a Bangladeshi guy proposed marriage to me, and I said yes. My parents don't know about it yet, I plan on telling them in a few weeks. But how do I tell them? Where do I start?

Why not have the best of both worlds and to steal a line from HAHK, why not ask your folks to ARRANGE your LOVE marriage.

How do you think your parents would react to the news? Ideally breaking the news in person is advisable, but email usually is good to give a heads up to soften the impact.

Have your parents met this man? if so - do they like him. If not -can you have him over for dinner..introduce him to your family and let him get ot know yours.
Are your parents fine with the idea of you choosing your own husband?

Whether love or arranged, always check out the family history (I mean what others say about them). Are they able to accept the girl in their family? Most of the boys are mama's boys (the boy will listen to you or their mama?)
