can we apply oci for newborn of oci holders?
we got ours last year and we want to apply for our 6 month old boy and someone told me I can't apply for newborn.
any help is appreciated.

The first step is to obtain a Canadian passport for your newborn. Once, you have that you have to undergo the procedure outlined on the CGI Toronto website.
A better(and more cost effective option) would be to apply for a PIO (Person of Indian Origin) card for your newborn. THe PIO is virtually identical to the OCI. Also, the fees for an OCI are $421, whereas that for a PIO for kids is $240. There is also a provision of converting the PIO to an OCI by paying an additional $40. So in effect, you will get the OCI for $280 instead of $421 for your child.
Minor Children (below the age of 18) whose both parents are Indian Citizen are NOT eligible for OCI. However they can apply for PIO card
The minor children are eligible for OCI if their parents are foreign national holding OCI
