Namaste !!! – Mukesh Patel ( gujju)

I am going to move to Toronto soon after winter over.
Need some advise to settle down.

Me, my wife and newly arrived baby 3months.

I am in Computer field ( QA-Tech-support) and my wife is fresh to Canada having (BA) regular three year college.

I can’t decide where should I move? Brampton, north-York, Markham north – wagaun ?

I need to stay close to Indian community for my baby as well as I need place which is good to live in peace ( less crime) also I need place where I can find easy job for me ( IT) as well as my wife ( assembly or some good general work).

We are not rich so money is also a big consideration.

But the main thing is job market and community .

Can somebody please describe Toronto ( job wife, living standard , future development)

any advise will be appriciate .
You can send me e-mail :

Patel Bhai,
moove to Brampton. Your wife can find lot of light assembly job there. Area is clean, safe & relatively crime free. It is full of indian population. You will not feel that you have left India. For you, All IT jobs are in downtown Toronto & you can go by GO transit. Only problem is it is becoming expensive day by day. Still, you can find some decent rental there.

Brampton is really good! Only if you have to drive everyday Toronto than it is kind of difficult in winter.

Good Luck!

Hi Mukesh,

Would you be in position to give me feedback on below (in Montreal):

1. Cost of Living for small family of 3.
2. Lack of French Language & its impact on day to day life
3. Any active Indian social gatheings ?
4. Place where most of Indians would prefer to live in Montreal and how far is
it from downtown?

I have an interview call and want to have some basic information.

PS - I live in midtown (davisville) which is close to downtown. Nice place
but slightly expensive and you will miss the apna Indian feel. School, daycare and subway are walking distance and is very safe & convenient.

Thanks
