I hate people hogging the left lane and oblivious to the fact people are queued up behind them.
Even if you drive at 120 on the 401 left lane and if a guy comes behind you at 130 LET THEM PASS. MOVE OVER IDIOTS.
If the ontario police head has said the same.
I really hate this.
But what I hate more is when 2 people occupy the 2 lanes of a road and both drive slowly and sort of hold hands making sure no one can pass from either side.

The Ontario police head said driving at 130 is okay? At 150 we will impound the car?
Meghal you have not mentioned at what speed was the lady driving on 401 at the left most lane? If she was driving at 100, she is within her rights though all those who drive at 130-140 would be so irritated.
I do not think it is possible to ticket someone who is driving at the speed limit in a passing lane. Of course, passing lane is for passing. Only if someone is driving way below the speed limit unnecessarily (not being weather, construction, etc.) they can be charged for holding up traffic.

What wall-E says is probably true. I have heard of this though have not met anyone who been ticketed for this.
Left lane is for passing and if you holding up traffic at 100 kmph you can be ticketed for impeding traffic.

btw for all those who believe its ok to drive at 100 in the left lane and not bother with the queue of cars behind you, I hope you all get ticketed .. because you can according to ontario law. The LEFT LANE IS A PASSING LANE. MOVE OVER IF SOMEONE IS BEHIND YOU. IF YOU ARE AT THE SAME SPEED OR SLOWER THEN THE LANES ON YOUR RIGHT .. MOVE OVER MORON!
