My son is 4yrs.I went to a dentist who said he has some cavaties and we need to give him anaesthesia as he is too young to get the treatment.
The estimate he has given for treatment is about $2500 (out of which $600 is the fees for anaesthesist).I find this very expensive.I do have insurance but it covers 80% and the limit is $1500 (some of it is already used).

Can someone suggest some kids dentist who is not so expensive or how long is the waiting period in Govt. hospitals?

Call region of peel. Your location shows mississauga. Region of peel have special insurance for child. Child is covered by region of peel for dental insurance, you don't need your private insurance.
Region of peel will tell you to go nearest early year center where dental hygine will examin and write the treatment you need to do and that will cover by peel.
We did go for examiniation for my son teeth, but they found no problem so we didnt go to denist.
Actually, I called one of the denist and he has explained me. We have no insurance.

It is very expensive here for dental.

I found india is the best and next outsource for medical service. when you visit india, try to do complete check up and dental exam. Its very cheap in india.

I was use to pay more than 100$ in my dedictable for complete medical coverage, which I never use it. And once I went to clean the teeth..most of the things was not covered by insurance and I had paid more than 300 from pocket..so I found if I don't have insurance, I could have paid from my pocket same amount from all the dedictable i was paying for yearss....

best option is..in india not even 100$...but it will cost you only may be couple of $$ we pay here for parking for excellent treatment.

I was amaze seeing all world class instrument in dental office in india n charges for complete root canal ...6000rps..

I called peel but they told me that the program is only for those who don't have any insurance.

Being in Brampton and Mississauga,

You may want to Speak to Desi Dentists,

Most of them usually waive the deductible.

If deductible is waived. then I guess you have to pay 80% of some of the $ 1500 you have used up.

Further they will definately offer some discount.

Try Balmoral Dental Clinic in Brampton.
Thanks
Rajiv

Now call them again and tell them that you donot have any insurance ! They donot have the necessary link up to see if you have insurance or not.
I heard that in Toronto , all dental work for people under 6 is free (though there is a 2 or 3 month lineup).
You can also try the univ. of Toronto, Dental dept. The dental work is done for a subsidized fee by students under the guidance of professional professors (leading dentist's themselves).
All the best

Most of the Advice given to your question is not too the point.

1- Govt. do not cover Dental Treatment for Children untill it is linked to some other Medical Condition. ( Or it is very URGENT- unfortunately Cavity does not come in that Catageory)

2- All Desi Dentist charge same fees ( Which is CDA Approved Fees). Max. they can give you coutesy discount ( 15 % for your Case- Majour Surgery)

3- Best Action will for you to Wait for Few years untill your Child can do the filling without Anasthesia. Cavity will not Detoriate so much. However, ask your Dentist First.

Are you sure they will not be able to find out if we have insurance?
