Can anybody suggest what are the good school in Mississauga ?
Our son would take admission in 11th. standard (AS level)

The admission for schools is done by a 2 SQ KM radius and your kid will GET admission in the school which is nearest to your residential address. There are no such things as Good schools as all the schools are of same standard and with similar infrastructure and funding. There are certain schools which focus on various areas like Music, Arts, Science&Technology, International Baccalaeurate and other stuff. But ultimately the admission to university is based on the marks in the 12th grade.

Here it all depends on the kids initiative than the school. If you would like to find a home based on a school then I would suggest the area of Eglinton/Mavis/HWY 10/Derry road as the four perimeters as MOST of the South Indians(who typically are more education oriented and stress more on it to their kids) settle down. Hence their kids go to school in this area and hence you will find that there will be more intense competition within the class for marks and hence there will be a better drive for your kids to prove themselves.

If you go north of Derry you'll find that you are in Brampton and you'll find that the kids will come from rich households and hence there will be a less stress on educational achievements and more on extra curricular activities(for Example: Drugs, Guns, Clubs, Disco's and Gangs).Eventhough your kid will be doing good in school, he will lack in the class competition. Sometimes when kids do Good in school they are labelled as Nerds and not popular kids and nobody wants to befriend them. This will lead to isolation in schools.
