Hi,
My mother travelled from Canada to Oman in 2008 and when she wanted to return back she noticed that her PR expired. She is 85 years old and she is not been able to travel to Abudhabi alone. I am a Canadian Citizen and live in Canada. I do not know how to go about it. My mother is desparate to come back. Can someone tell me what I could do and what is the best way to obtain her travel documents without me travelling to Oman and then from there to Abudhabi Canadian Consulate?

First Question: Are you in Ontario, or close to Toronto?
Second Question: Do you have a phone with long distance access, if not in Toronto?

If you can access these people in person and fill out a form and register with them, then they will walk you through the process holding your hand and fill in all of the required papers. All they will need are the details that are called for in the application forms, which you might have or can provide them with and get going very smoothly.
If you are not here in Toronto, then ask them to introduce you to one of the many similar locations, nearby where you live, and they at that location will do the honours for you.
