Hi ,

I recently came across an OLCO gas station on Queensway near Royal York which dispenses gas at 6 cents less ..... On 40 l , you can save $2.5 every week .... or a free coin car wash ....

Someone was also mentioning that Sunoco gives you a free car wash after 6 fillings.

..... I have never tried the points they credit to you when you get gas filled but was wondering if CDs can share information with regards to freebies / points accumulation or cheaper gas at other pumps ...... so that we can save a little ....

Is it true that gas pumps have varying rates at different times of the day ?

My views, a "coin" in hand is worth more than a "coin" in points :D. I prefer "dividend" or cash over any point system. Visible or not, any point system has admin charge involved.

Used to be true. Atleast since past year, atleast esso and shell have standard/constant rates. The rate is usually set at midnight based on the market rate of oil.

Kewl. Unfortunately, it's not on my way, not of any use. Lucky for those who have this on their way.
Now the ugly part. I won't drive anything over 2.5Kms each way for "cheaper" gas. Do the math and check if it's worth that extra drive. Next, if you fillup every 20 days or so (like me), is it worth that extra mental energy?

Or in your travels, if you are going that way.
