thanks freddie for being so optimistic. We are also optimistic.

Let me tell you one thing, we have stayed in UAE for almost a decade. YOu will not get work visa if there are no job opportunities here. have you heard of UAE who sanctioned skilled worked visa and the person enters country and is unemployed for one year. No. you will not hear such things in UAE.

In canada, this is our first experience of unemployment after working for more than 20 years in India and UAE on middle level management. This is the price we pay for dreaming of canada and USA. (A very small price to pay).

US does not offer skilled worker visa either without a job. There are very few countries that have modeled their skilled immigration based on points. Two of them that come to mind are Canada and Australia. And there are pros and cons.

Once again, I do know it is very frustrating not to have a source of income, but it is unfortunately the applicant's sole responsibility to understand the greater implications (positive & negative) of the decision to apply and move to a brand new country, however welcoming the Government's marketing towards immigration might be.

Please do not get discouraged, keep trying and there is hope. I can say this because I just recently experienced a job loss and am getting back on my feet after 4 months.

Can some one please tell me which country will allow you to live on some one else money or give u free money whether you have a job or not.

I lived in 3 different countries before coming to Canada and none of them have this benefit.

If you "live" in a penetentiary, you could live off some one else's money in almost any country :D

It's true for any country that you have to live with your own money, job or no job, isn't it? How is Canada different?

That's exactly what I commented as well, and agree with TK's statement that you got to live in Canada with your own money - having a job or not.

My views' similarities end there itself. I ain't blaming the Govt. for this fact.

If there is no country on this planet to offer free money, then am I right to say this is toxic negative garbage?

Can't the OP apply for social welfare or assistance after exhausting initial funds ?

I am of the opinion that in Canada a lot of people live off others money ... Thats social equality ... If you are not able to earn , the Govt helps you survive ....

Thats why those who earn more pay taxes as a part of those taxes goes into this support system ... I d say thats a very good thing . Although some people do misuse this by claiming social assistance and working cash jobs / doing nothing but then its them and not the system to blame ..

Kudos to Canada on this . If you fail , the system supports you .
