This is to have a general idea of how many people want to go back to india or planning to go back or have gone back to india already for good..sacrificing their PR status or gone back after citizenship..this would be really good since this can help to get a fair idea of the true picture
I came here 5 months back and Iam going back to india on sep 27th..i dont know whether i tried very hard enough but just asked myself few questions..that whether its necessary to do everything from scratch here when u have a good set up back home..stay away from parents etc..ppl say education improves the prospects here but i know people from Schulich School of Business with MBA degree doing internship and volunteering jobs because they cant work for Call centres since it doesnt make sense..so i decided on going back and i didnt want to spend too much time here because india is running at the speed of rocket..very difficult to catch if you stay away from it for a long time..changes happening every day..Well I would appreciate winner23's effort to start a thread so that we can have true from heart opinions of the people going back or staying in canada..
I remember 2 people on the board who have returned .... though they don't post so often ... ids are Rajand & akkiluck .... browse their posts ....
We do have a few more in the line .... I hope they share their experience as well ....

Well with regards to my story,I came in December 2008 and it was a wrong time to land in Toronto and i had to face winter.I got a job under a tax auditor since it was tax season. In March he told me he doesnt need me any more.I came from Dubai and was working in Royal Bank of Scotland and had a well paying job there.I had 2 small kids.I started using my savings from April.I got another job in June in a call centre. But it was difficult situation for my wife and children since they were used to good lifestyle in Dubai. My wife was not ready to stay here and she wanted to go back to india for good.I have sent her and kids..but i couldnt stay without them and even i have returned back to india

I, 100% agree with Chandresh. Some of my friends moved back to India, lil details are follows:
Age early 40s was working with CTV, was getting around C$85,000, moved back to India after getting citizenship, now working in Chennai with a multinational bank, no plan to come back ever.
Age early late 30s , was working here with a collection agency in IT dept, was getting around C$ 70, 000, moved back to India after getting citizenship working there with an International Pharma Co. No plan to come back ever.
Age late 30s, was working with an Engineering firm, was getting around C$65,000, did not apply for citizenship, moved back to India, now working with an Internation Educational Supply Co, no plan to come back ever.
Age early 40s, was working with a Financial Co. was getting C$150,000+, holder of American and Canadian citizenship, moved back to India after 20 years of stay in US and Canada. Now working with a Financial Co. in Bangalore, no plan to come back ever.
and list goes on..
This just the tip of the Iceburg, personally I know atleast 16 people. They went back to India either before or after getting citizenship and living in India happily. They dont have any plan to come back or sending their kids to Canada.
