On the spin or the rinse cycle, the motor stops and gets off the agitating mode.

In the rinse cycle, the same motor throws in a BELT drive in HIGH speed to rinse and throw the water off the clothes. With the POWER off or the plug OUT, if you gently lift the washer or TILT it, you will see the broken belt nicely coiled and lying under the machine.

Now you know why it is not giving you the SPIN cycle. You need a NEW BELT. Check in the google web site, plugging in the machine make and model and it will come up with a parts list. Look for the belt, buy and renew it. It has a tension-ing pulley.

Cost, under $10 bucks.** Till you fix it, use a clothesline to dry the clothes. Balcony or the window will do. Don't hang your uglies for others to see.
