I disagree. There are things which are free. On the other hand, there are stuff here which you will have to pay (like lose your life savings by immigration , if you are not in IT, Finance, High Tech business and the like). Free stuff is like consultation w/ doctor, juice/cookies/cakes at some banks, free food banks etc.. Even the govt. will give you free welfare, HST credit etc...
The police could very well catch you if you dispense vada's and stuff like that. Either you dispense packed stuff or donot mess with the established practices. The locals donot like it and your good deeds may come to haunt you later.
Peace

True, however in today's fear climate and worries about predator and such, its more likely parents will throw away any 'homemade' treats and just let the kids eat pre-packaged chocolates/candies/gum.
what do you think??

Ok, this is turning serious. Actually in my Vada/Candy turf battle, not a single kid took the vada. It was all in good spirits with the kids' parents enjoying the "trick". Anyway, what parents do for their kids in their home to sort the candies/stuff is their problem depending on what state of paranoia they are in at that moment. Me, I like to exercise common sense and have fun. Which means I eat most of the candies that come home from my son's loot and deprive the pleasure for my son
